SLEEPING
Watermillock Cottage sleeps up to 9 guests plus an optional cot, making it ideal for family holidays or group stays near Ullswater. Upstairs, you’ll find three double bedrooms, including one with a double and single bed, plus one twin bedroom. Bed linen is included, so you can settle straight in.
BATHROOM
The cottage includes two shower rooms, giving families and larger groups plenty of space to get ready after a day out exploring the Lake District. Towels are also included in the price of your stay.
KITCHEN AREA
The kitchen is full of character, with an AGA, oak units and slate worktops. There is also a separate utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and large fridge freezer, making longer self-catering stays easy and practical.
LIVING & DINING SPACE
The large reception room includes a wood burner, comfortable sofas, wide screen TV, DVD/CD player, family DVDs, books and free WiFi. There is also a separate dining room with an oak refectory table seating 10, perfect for relaxed meals together.
OUTDOOR SPACE
The cottage has its own stone terrace with garden furniture, giving you a peaceful place to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. The garden also includes a sunken trampoline, ideal for keeping children entertained during your stay.
AMENITIES
Your stay includes heating, electricity, towels and bed linen. Off-road parking is available for three cars, and a travel cot and high chair can be provided on request. Please bring your own cot bedding and high chair straps.
WHAT TO BRING
Historic charm, modern comfort
Watermillock Cottage is a Grade 2 listed farmhouse. It dates from 1680 but has recently undergone a full refurbishment. All the floors are oak and old exposed beams are numerous. Shutters ensure a good nights sleep!
The entrance to the cottage is via a porch into a central entrance hall. The large reception room features a wood burner, comfortable sofas, a wide screen TV and DVD/CD. Family DVDs and books are available and WiFi access is free. There is a separate dining room and an oak refectory table seating 10. The kitchen features an AGA, oak units and slate worktops.
The utility room contains a washing machine/tumble dryer and large fridge/freezer. Stairs lead to three double bedrooms (one containing a double + single bed), one twin bedroom, and two shower rooms.
