As a family-run park, we have built our reputation on thoughtful hospitality, distinctive accommodation and an approach that places people and planet at the centre of what we do.
Over the years, we have become known not only for the setting, but for the standards behind every stay. From national recognition for sustainability to major industry awards, The Quiet Site has earned a reputation as one of the UK’s leading holiday parks while remaining warm, welcoming and personal in character.
We are proud to be carbon neutral, to hold a Green Tourism Gold Award, and to have received both the VisitEngland Holiday Park of the Year title in 2023 and the AA Holiday Park of the Year for the UK in 2024.

- WiFi – available on all pitches. 5Mb/s. Work from Anywhere – The ultimate ‘Fresh Air Office’.
- Motorhome service point with large grey water dump grill.
- All Pitches have Electric hook ups, water and drainage.
- All pitches are terraced and can be pre-booked.
- Laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers and a separate drying room.
- Numerous electric Points for charging your phones (USB and 3 pin)
- Lovely large Zero waste shop. Please note we do not sell bottled water, but you can refill your water containers with free, chilled and filtered water in our Campers Kitchen and at The Quiet Bite.
- The Quiet Bite is an Off grid wood fired takeaway. We are open every day for breakfast and evening pizza. See The Quiet Bite for times.
- Children’s games room adjacent to the bar with table football, air hockey and a pool table.
- Small book exchange library.
- A small quiet field with benches adjacent to the Quiet Bite.
- Campers kitchen with kettles, toasters, microwaves, fridges, freezers, filtered water, tables and chairs and USB chargers.
- New Bar Toilets with modern IR flush technology.
- Dog, Boot and Bike Wash Room.
- Chemical disposal point.
- Dishwashing sinks.
- Individual private rooms with shower, WC and wash basin which use Solar, Biomass and Ground Source heat energy, no fossil fuels are used.

- Positioned on the famous Ullswater Way.
- Fantastic map rooms showing Ullswater and the surrounding fells in a huge scale. Great for planning and reviewing days on the lake and fells.
- Electric car charge points. We have two 11kW EV charge points on site. http://evcharge.online Ultra Rapid charging is available at Rheged (between the M6 J40 and The Quiet Site).
- Extensive easy-to-use recycling windows.
- Meeting room available to guests with AV equipment. Free use to guests who need access to normal office equipment or who need to take Zoom/Teams meeting. Please contact office to book.
